A Day On The Runway
"It was the worst walk ever, my mom was laughing," Polish model Ewa Budka shared about her first impromptu modeling gig at a mall at the age of 17. "I thought I didn't do well but the phone didn't stop ringing."
"I don't want to be only a blank canvas that can't speak," Budka points out how models need other passions off the runway. In addition to modeling, Budka is a master print maker and painter.
"I treat the fashion show as an art performance. I am the art piece," said Budka before walking for designer Christian Siriano during New York Fashion Week.
"You are very close to the designer, you hear and feel his or her thoughts, desires and creations," said Budka. "I keep coming back because it inspires me."
