Haxton was a senior captain of the rowing team at UA High School, when a pain in his calf sent him to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with swift-moving necrotizing fasciitis and his legs were amputated. Haxton is now teaching young kids the sport he loves and inspiring them to never give up.
